Battery Point Lighthouse Keeper's Log

Teare and I were excited to welcome good friends Stu and Beth Ensor to Battery Point!  They arrived around 8:30 AM.   We showed them around and they unpacked their bags.  Afterward, we went out on the rocks and watched some waves at the north end of the point.  Teare served chili, Beth made corn bread, and we had a nice lunch.

As tour time approached, the tidal basis still had water, so we were delayed in getting started.  Even our tour volunteers were held up due to the tide.  We had 41 visitors and collected $373.19 in donations and sales.  Stu and Beth explored the bike/walk trail and pier while we conducted tours.

We enjoyed a nice dinner (Chicken Pockets & Salad) and went out to watch the sunset.

No sooner had the sun disappeared, that the moon rose over the hills across the bay.

We visited until we were all ready to call it a day.

Keeper Reedy, thankful for friends like the Ensor's, signing off.
